It starts at the hem. The stitching opens a centimetre at a time, the edge curls, and the shirt rides up on every start. Nobody throws it away. It just stops being the one you reach for.

Will the print crack or fade?
No. The dye is part of the fabric. There's no layer on top to crack off.
Is it a compression fit?
No. Cut loose, not compression.
How do I look after it?
Rinse it in fresh water and hang it. That's the whole routine. It'll last if you rinse it. Most people don't.
